Shivani is a doctoral student in Environmental Health at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She is involved with the Healthy Buildings Team under Dr. Joseph Gardner Allen, the Reproductive Justice Lab under Dr. Tamarra James-Todd, and the Office for Sustainability. Her interests center on leveraging translational research on healthier building materials to reduce racial health disparities in the indoor built environment. She hopes that this work can bridge the existing gap between communities, private organizations, and government, ultimately creating healthier physical and social environments for people to live.
Shivani graduated from Haverford College with dual degrees in Chemistry and Health & Societies. During that time, she worked with the Science Research Team at Propeller Health and the Medical Affairs Team at ResMed to better understand the social, economic, and environmental determinants of chronic respiratory disease with the goal of improving the accessibility of digital health solutions.
