Jacob Friedman is a Sophomore at Harvard College intending to concentrate in the biological sciences with a secondary in Environmental Science & Public Policy. At Harvard, he is on the PBHA Environmental Action Committee’s board and serves as a director with the Undergraduate Research Association (HURA). Jacob also researches parental histone transfer and epigenetics in the Moazed Lab at HMS.
Outside of Cambridge, Jacob is on the National Coordination Team for Fridays for Future USA, where he plans logistics for youth climate groups across the country. Alongside FFF, Jacob co-organized the 2024 Local Conference of Youth held in AZ where U.S. youth demands were drafted and sent to COP29; he plans to co-organize the 2026 conference.
In his free time, Jacob loves exploring nature and learning languages, as he is currently pursuing a Chinese (中文) citation. He hopes to continue exploring the intersection of environmental biology and policy at Harvard.
