Gianluca Venegas 

I am a Peruvian who grew up witnessing the challenges of poverty in a developing economy, and that experience has shaped the way I approach business and sustainability. I studied economics through a dual degree between Universidad del Pacífico and the London School of Economics (LSE), and then worked in investment banking for five years. During this time, I learned how business and sustainability can intersect to create a brighter future. 

My vision for a sustainable future: is one in which markets help channel sustainable investing through impact investing platforms. This would allow businesses that are currently making a positive impact on society and the environment to have greater access to capital markets and scale their operations, without sacrificing profitability. I see profit as an indicator of potential for scalability.
