Student Sustainability Associates (SSA)

MBA 2026, Section F

Born and raised in Hong Kong, one of the world’s business hubs, I have long been intrigued by the power of business to do good, which motivated my move to study business at the University of Pennsylvania. After graduation, I returned to Asia, where I spent three years as a management consultant at Bain, advising retail companies and leading the Greater China office’s Green Team, an affinity group dedicated to promoting sustainable lifestyles. More recently, I led market expansion for a sustainability-centered children’s activewear startup. These experiences have deepened my understanding of the consumer sector’s influence on people’s day-to-day choices and thus the substantial impact it can have on sustainability. Moving forward, I am passionate about integrating sustainability into corporate strategy and operations, specifically in consumer industries, to drive more responsible consumption.

My vision for a sustainable future:

My vision is a world where individuals are fully aware of the environmental impact of their consumption decisions and actively work to minimize their footprint by choosing eco-friendly options. Similarly, companies will closely monitor, evaluate, and reduce their carbon footprints through the entire value chain, in recognition of the fact that sustainability is not only morally right but also crucial to long-term corporate success.

Favorite Green Tip:

Switch to e-billing! In the US, paper products make up the largest percentage of municipal solid waste, and hard copy bills produce almost 2 million tons of CO2. You can make a difference by simply toggling a button!
