Carolina has always been passionate about nature, what lead her to complete a Bachelor and a Teaching degree in Biological Sciences at USP (University of Sao Paulo, Brazil). She also earned a Master’s degree in the Department of Genetics and Evolutionary Biology from the same university. Currently, she is a PhD student at Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health in the Population Health Sciences program.

She is based on the Environmental Health Department and her research focuses on the interaction between genetics and the environment. Her main goal is to use her research to make the world a better, fairer and more sustainable place for humans and all the other species that inhabit it with us. Besides academics, Carol enjoys spending time with people and learning from them. You can also find her dancing ballet, tasting new foods, playing board games or doing some outdoor activity.
