MBA 2025, Section I

I earned my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in chemical engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where I am from. Before HBS, I worked for almost 4 years in strategy consulting, where I had the opportunity to work with some of the largest Energy & Power Utilities companies in Brazil. I also spent a semester focusing on the Climate & Sustainability agenda with the CEO’s central team. Last year, I co-authored “Brazil Climate Report 2022: Seizing Brazil’s Climate Potential” jointly with Brazil Climate Summit

My vision for a sustainable future: Coming from a country with both enormous environmental challenges and potential—extremely biodiverse, with a mostly clean energy matrix and home to the Amazon Forest, and yet with supply-chain, deforestation, and food poverty issues—, my vision for a sustainable future necessarily intersects with the idea of just transition. It implies a shift from an extractive economy to a regenerative economy, that creates a more just and equitable society.

Favorite Green Tip: I love checking personal care, homecare, and cosmetic products and brands on Ethical Elephant (https://ethicalelephant.com). The website has a great directory that labels brands as “Sustainable”, “Vegan”, “Grey-Area” and others, along with tips and reviews on eco-products for your house.
