Antonia Kowalewski

Antonia is a first-year PhD student in the Biological and Biomedical Sciences program at Harvard Medical School. She recently graduated from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada, with a degree in Biological Physics. At Simon Fraser University, she was involved in campaigns to have the university divest from fossil fuels, declare a climate emergency, and ban single-use plastic bottles. She also worked as a climate educator in local high-school classrooms and was a founding member of her department’s Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity Alliance. 

At Harvard, Antonia is excited to continue advancing sustainability with a focus on waste reduction and sustainability in biomedical research.
