Adams House
Amelia is a senior concentrating in Government with a secondary in Sociology, where her policy interests include immigration, poverty alleviation, education, and racial justice. Originally from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, she was raised in the Bronx, NY. Her passion for sustainability partially hails from the environmental racism that both of the places she calls home face, which called her into action. On campus, she has been heavily involved with political and advocacy organizations, service groups, environmental advocacy, and organizations that uplift and support the Latinx community. She is looking forward to connecting students to REP to show how both small daily and larger, long-term commitments to the environment can make a significant difference in the world that we create.
