Shawn Mobley

Shawn Mobley is a College senior in Dunster House concentrating in Applied Mathematics. He has a passion for personal and organizational sustainability as well as a strong motivation to create genuine impact. On campus, Shawn is the Co-President of Harvard Undergraduate Plant Based, a student organization that focuses on food sustainability. A long-time vegan, he also helped found and run Food 4 Thought Innovations, a nonprofit whose goal is to connect students around the world to opportunities and resources in the food sustainability industry. Their first two conferences have attracted a combined 900 students to Harvard’s campus for speaker panels and workshops featuring 120 industry professionals and 50 food vendors. Shawn is also a part of the Harvard Undergraduate Clean Energy Group and has helped run the Harvard Climate Coalition. In the summer of 2023, he spent two months in Beijing at Tsinghua University’s Institute for Carbon Neutrality, researching wind power life-cycle carbon emissions. In his free time, Shawn enjoys representing Dunster House for intramural sports, self-studying languages, trying new food, and playing Nintendo Switch.
