Shawn Mobley is a College junior concentrating in Applied Mathematics and living in Dunster House. He has a passion for sustainability and a strong motivation to drive genuine impact. On campus, Shawn is the Co-President of Harvard Undergraduate Plant Based, a student organization that focuses on food sustainability. Last year, he and his group helped found and direct Food 4 Thought Festival (now Food 4 Thought Innovations), a nonprofit whose goal is to unite students around the world who are interested in food sustainability. Their inaugural conference attracted 400 students to Harvard’s for three days of speaker panels and workshops featuring 60 industry professionals and 20 food vendors. Shawn also works on an Industry Project for the Harvard Undergraduate Clean Energy Group. In the summer of 2023, he spent two months in Beijing at Tsinghua University’s Institute for Carbon Neutrality, researching wind power life-cycle carbon emissions. In his free time, Shawn enjoys representing Dunster House for intramural sports, self-studying languages, and playing Nintendo Switch.
