Senior Program Manager
Parnian Baniahmad is the Senior Program Manager within the Office for Sustainability at Harvard.
With a background in delivering innovative resource management solutions, Parnian previously served as a project manager and water resources modeler at CDM Smith in Boston. In this role, she successfully led diverse teams of engineers, scientists, municipalities, and government organizations to execute large-scale environmental field operations and systems optimization.
Parnian’s commitment to sustainability led her to pursue an MBA with a focus on Sustainability at Duke’s Fuqua School of Business. While at Duke, she engaged in consulting projects that tackled a wide range of sustainability challenges. Notably, she developed a sustainable sourcing strategy for recycled plastics, conducted market research, offered recommendations for environmental credit trading markets in the United States, and evaluated ESG (environmental, social, governance) rankings of portfolio companies.
Parnian holds a B.S. in Civil and Structural Engineering from the University of Science and Culture in Iran, as well as an M.S. in Environmental and Water Resources Engineering from Tufts University.
