Senior Communications Officer
In her role as Senior Communications Officer, Kristin leads integrated communications that showcase how Harvard is advancing sustainability and a fossil fuel-free future. She shapes digital strategy and delivers high-impact, data-driven content such as Harvard’s Annual Sustainability Report to clearly communicate progress on climate goals and decarbonization efforts. Kristin collaborates across Harvard’s schools and units to align messaging while supporting the Harvard Office for Sustainability in its mission to lead the University in setting and achieving holistic sustainability goals.
Kristin came to Harvard in 2022 from Salem State University, where her efforts leading digital content strategy helped the marketing and communications team win the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Citation Award for Outstanding Performance. Prior to Salem State, Kristin worked as a reporter for MassLive covering breaking news and events in Boston. Whether writing a news story, social media post, or press release, Kristin enjoys distilling complex topics into approachable, engaging content that informs and inspires.
Kristin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with concentrations in Information Technology and International Relations. In 2024, she earned her Graduate Certificate in Marketing Management and Digital Strategy from the Harvard Extension School. In her free time, Kristin can often be found exploring new places with a camera in hand.
