Kei Takada is a Master in Public Administration candidate at the Harvard Kennedy School. He is a corporate lawyer from Japan with seven years of experience practicing law in his hometown of Tokyo. During this time, he specialized in renewable energy cases, working on transactions related to solar and wind power plant constructions, including Japan’s first floating offshore wind farm. He has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in Japan – Ones to Watch for three consecutive years. In June 2024, Kei received his Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Stanford Law School, where he focused on environmental law and policy. His studies at Stanford broadened his interest beyond energy law to encompass the legal and policy aspects of combating climate change. This passion for climate change led him to pursue further studies at HKS. Outside of work, Kei enjoys practicing Kendo, a Japanese martial art, as well as traveling and photography.
