Jeniece LaTrece Brock (she/her) is an accomplished leader, strategist, and advocate at the intersection of public health, environmental justice, and government affairs. As a DrPH candidate and practitioner at the T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a Doctoral Student Affiliate at Harvard’s FXB Center for Health & Human Rights, Jeniece is trailblazing unique research in Political Epidemiology and Systemic Determinants of Health. Shaping equitable environmental health outcomes for Black communities is one of her deepest passions. She is a fellow for the Activist Academy at Fenway Health, Health Equity Compact, World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), Student Engagement Committee Member (SEC) at the Lee Kum Sheung Center for Health and Happiness, and the Council of Student Sustainability Leaders (CSSL) with the Harvard Office for Sustainability. Her expertise spans policy design, crisis management, communications, and legislative innovation, rooted in a drive to build and reform systems that safeguard and uplift underserved communities.

Jeniece’s leadership resonates on local and national stages. She was appointed to the White House Medicaid Enrollment Advisory Committee during the Biden Administration, advising implementation of strategies across the Midwest for automatic enrollment. As Executive Director for the Ohio House Democratic Caucus, she steered effective crisis response through the COVID-19 pandemic, meeting urgent needs for Ohioans.

Jeniece has advanced and advised hundreds of transformative national candidate and issue campaigns on redistricting, voting rights, healthcare, and sustainability. As a doctoral researcher for The Kresge Foundation and Black Owned Solar Services (B.O.S.S.), she developed the strategy and infrastructure for sustainable solar solutions for BIPOC-focused health centers. She is an award-winning board executive, political and epidemiologist systems strategist, commentator, and published expert. She has been recognized with the National Honors for the 2024 Brennan Center for Justice Legacy Award for Advancing Fair Representation in the U.S. She is a proud and active Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated member, and she continues to champion service and sisterhood in all her endeavors.
