Erich is the Systems Operations and Sustainability Manager for the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, where he drives energy efficiency and decarbonization initiatives in support of the University’s ambitious Climate Action Plan. Erich joined Harvard in March 2025, bringing over a decade of experience in the sustainability industry.

Prior to Harvard, Erich worked in corporate sustainability at Keurig Dr Pepper, a leading beverage company in North America. Erich led decarbonization and electrification strategy for the company’s manufacturing network and was the primary subject matter expert on sustainable operations. His areas of focus ranged from energy and water use management to carbon data reporting and analytics. One notable achievement from his time at Keurig Dr Pepper was facilitating the company’s first industrial heat pump installation at a beverage concentrate plant in Ireland.

Erich received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis. Engaged in the local community, he was a Climate Ambassador for the City of Somerville and volunteers for many Boston-area environmental initiatives.
