Meet with Harvard Recycling, C-CHANGE, Restaurant Associates, Harvard University Dining Services, Longwood Consortium, and the event sponsors Countway Library, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Harvard Medical School, and Harvard School of Dental Medicine.
Explore the Sustainable Labs Vendor Fair, where more than a dozen suppliers will be on-site to share information and show examples of their sustainable products for laboratories.
This presentation will examine the impact of climate change on health through patient cases, providing a framework for assessing climate-related health risks and discussing integrative approaches to care. It will also explore how environmental factors influence integrative medicine, including the role of nature-based therapies in supporting patient well-being, focusing on adapting these strategies for low-income communities and urban areas with limited access to green spaces.

Join Harvard Medical School for an event that will highlight the urgent challenges at the intersection of health and sustainability – including health inequity, climate change, biodiversity loss, antimicrobial resistance, infectious and non-communicable diseases, as well as weak health systems. These issues illustrate the inseparable links between human, animal, and ecosystem health, and underscore the need for a One Health approach to achieve effective solutions.
With only five years left to reach the Sustainable Development Goals, the event will explore how the implementation of One Health can decisively strengthen global health and sustainability efforts.
