Harvard Real Estate
Sustainable Workplace Initiative
Harvard Real Estate is committed to supporting Harvard in building and operating a healthier, more equitable and more sustainable campus community.
In addition to building improvements and operation practices, Harvard Real Estate’s Sustainable Workplace Initiative is here to provide you, our tenants, with the tools you need to reduce your workplace’s footprint and engage your colleagues in the University’s commitments and your own sustainability projects.
Sustainable Actions You Can Take:
- Follow the sustainability guidelines outlined in your service-level agreement (SLA) with Harvard Real Estate. Check in with your property manager with any questions or service requests.
- Take actions that promote climate, healthy and equity with the Harvard Sustainable Office Guide.
- Make your gatherings more sustainable with tips from the Sustainable Meeting & Event Guide.
- Toss items in the right waste bin (compost, recycling or trash) by posting the university’s waste signage at eye-level above your bins.
- Reduce the amount your department sends to the landfill by requesting compost for your suite.
- Join or start a Green Team with your workplace.
- Subscribe to the quarterly HRE Sustainable Workplace newsletter for more tips and events.
