This Fall semester, the Salata Institute for Climate and Sustainability is launching the Careers in Climate Action Speaker Series, featuring leading climate and sustainability practitioners — many of them Harvard alumni — from a broad range of industries and sectors.

Speakers will reflect on their work and career path, providing students from across Harvard with valuable insights needed to launch a climate career. Each event will include a one hour Q&A with the speaker followed by a dinner reception.

Harvard Speaks On Climate Change: Satellite Detection of Methane Emissions

The Salata Institute for Climate and Sustainability and the Vice Provost Office for Advances in Learning present Harvard Speaks on Climate Change, a new series featuring Harvard faculty working on different dimensions of the climate challenge. In the inaugural session, Professors Daniel Jacob and Steven Wofsy will delve into their groundbreaking research on the satellite detection of methane emissions, shedding light on the implications of their data and developments for future greenhouse gas mitigation strategies. Professor and Vice Provost for Climate and Sustainability Jim Stock will host. This series is part of the collection of VPAL Signature Events and is co-sponsored by the Harvard Alumni Association.
