Climate & Sustainability Graduate Student Gathering

Join the Salata Institute for Climate and Sustainability for a gathering of graduate students from across campus engaged in research on climate change issues.

The first hour of the event will include a series of five-minute "speed talks" by students on their research, which will be followed by a reception with food, beverages, and the opportunity to connect. The event is part of the Institute’s ongoing efforts to convene students to foster collaboration and identify ways to support their academic goals.

12th Annual Public Interested Conference

Public Interested is a campus-wide conference that offers several outstanding ways for students and alums to explore public interest careers, make connections, and discuss social issues. The 2024 Public Interested Conference will take place on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at the Institute of Politics JFK Jr. Forum (please enter from the Wexner Courtyard entrance at 19 Eliot St.).

The Economics Sustainability Working Group, with the help of Harvard University Recycling Services, is organizing a Freecycle from 9 am to 5 pm on Thursday, August 22! Please bring your unwanted but still usable office supplies, small household goods, and books, and browse items that others have brought.

Apply by Sept. 4: Harvard Business School Student Sustainability Associates (SSAs)

The Harvard Business School (HBS) Student Sustainability Associate Program, founded in 2006, is the school’s peer-to-peer education program that promotes sustainable behavior on and off campus. An SSA is hired from each RC section to connect with their classmates on how key sustainability topics impact business. These topics have included climate change, social equity, environmental justice, transportation, energy, food, and water.

CSSL provides an opportunity for Harvard students to work together with other students from across the University’s Schools on sustainability projects, to connect and network with sustainability leaders (including faculty, and administration), and to provide feedback and recommendations on Harvard’s sustainability initiatives.
