HKS
Xinxin Yang is a first-year Master in Public Policy student at Harvard Kennedy School. She is interested in sustainability, social development, and education equity.
Guided by a personal commitment to protecting the planet and creating long-term social impact, Xinxin is interested in how organizations can integrate sustainability into their strategies and daily operations. During her internship with the United Nations Population Fund, she supported partnership development with corporate ESG and CSR teams. This experience shaped her interest in building long-term collaborations that move beyond one-time donations.
Looking ahead, Xinxin hopes to pursue a career in project management or partnerships in philanthropy and public service. She is especially interested in working with state and local governments, nonprofit organizations, and foundations to coordinate resources, manage programs, and build collaborations that respond to community needs.
Beyond sustainability, Xinxin also cares deeply about education and social equity. She has taught in public schools and volunteered with refugee communities. She looks forward to working with students and departments across Harvard to develop practical sustainability solutions and contribute to a more sustainable and inclusive campus.
