Carlos Alberto da Silva Júnior is a Visiting Scholar at Harvard Graduate School of Education through a Postdoctoral Fellowship funded by the Brazilian National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq). He holds a PhD in Science, an MSc in Analytical Chemistry, and a BSc in Chemistry, and is a Professor of Chemistry at the Federal Institute of Paraíba (IFPB), Brazil.

A former exchange student in Canada, he also learned French. At Harvard, he explores how education can empower learners to address sustainability challenges and applies the Triangular Bipyramid Metaphor (TBM), which he created as an educational framework for inclusive learning.
Carlos’s mission is to walk with the wise, become wise, and turn what he learns into action for a more sustainable future. He is excited to join CSSL and help make Harvard a greener and more inclusive community.
