DESCRIPTION:This event is limited to the first 75 people\, so please sign up by Monday\, April 20. Register now. \nTake action on Earth Day and join your Harvard community members and friends for a Charles River Clean-up on Earth Day\, Wednesday\, April 22\, 2026 from 10 am to 12 pm! The Charles River Conservancy will be providing a brief education on the local watershed and provide tools and training for the morning. \n\nSchools and departments across the University are partnering with the Charles River Conservancy for a morning of cleaning up trash\, microplastics\, and debris to support a cleaner\, healthier Charles River. The CRC will provide a brief education on the local river watershed and provide tools and training. All Harvard community members and their family and friends are welcome to participate! Due to event popularity\, we will have a waitlist and notify all those who sign up after max capacity if they are able to join. \n  \n\nThis event is hosted by the Harvard Kennedy School Campus Planning and Operations team\, the HKS Green Team\, with support from the Harvard Office for Sustainability\, Harvard Business School\, and Harvard Recycling.

DESCRIPTION:Join the Harvard Office for Sustainability and Harvard Common Spaces for an Earth Day Festival on Wednesday\, April 22\, 2026 from 12 to 2 pm at the Science Center Plaza. \n\nBring everyday items you no longer need and pick up stuff for free at a Freecycle hosted by Harvard Recycling. No donation is required to shop! Items can be dropped as early as 11:00 am at the Science Center Plaza. Please contact dailey_brannin@harvard.edu if you are planning a large drop-off to coordinate.\nHave electronics that store data to recycle? Harvard University Information Technology will collect them. See electronic waste items HUIT can accept. Please note lithium batteries should be taped and there should be no leaking or oversized batteries. Electronic accessories that do not store data\, like a mouse or keyboard\, will not be accepted.\nCollect your plastic bags and bring them to the plastic film recycling station.\nBring your bike for a complimentary safety check and commute with confidence and sustainability.\nLearn from and connect with Harvard groups tabling at the event.
