SUMMARY:Application Deadline: OFS Data Analytics Student Position
DESCRIPTION:The Harvard University Office for Sustainability (OFS) seeks an energetic and enthusiastic student interested in a paid data analytics position for Academic Year 2023. In this paid position\, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in using analytics to inform sustainability strategy and to communicate progress towards key sustainability goals. \nThe position requires approximately 3-5 hours per week\, working mostly on your own schedule\, with periodic check-in meetings. There is flexibility based on coursework and academic schedule. \nTo apply\, submit resumes to gitanjali_singh@harvard.edu – please send your resume\, as well as a sample Python script (including appropriate documentation)\, that you wrote independently by November 11\, 2023.  \nResponsibilities include: \n\nPython scripting relevant to sustainable food analytics\, data entry automation\, and web scraping.\nGenerating data visuals in Python\, R\, Tableau\, PowerBI\, or other visualization software as needed.\n\nCompensation: Commensurate with experience\, $20-23/hr \nQualifications: \n\nIntermediate-level Python coding is essential—a code sample is a required part of this application\n\n\nIntermediate-level R coding is a plus\, particularly relevant to Shiny applications.\nKnowledge of data visualization tools in Python and R\, as well as Tableau or other packages is a plus.\nMust be able to work independently and collaboratively.\nMust be able to manage projects from inception through completion.\nAttention to detail is essential.\n\nPreferred Class Level: Sophomore\, Junior\, Senior\, Master’s Student
